About the Wind Symphony

The Wind Symphony of Southern New Jersey, founded in 1965 as the Cherry Hill Symphonic Band, is a dynamic woodwind, brass, and percussion ensemble that has been performing 8 – 10 concerts each year throughout the Delaware Valley. Its 42 members come from NJ, PA and DE and more than half of them are music educators. The Wind Symphony’s repertoire includes a diverse range of styles – from classical transcriptions and contemporary wind band compositions to music from Broadway, jazz and pop idioms.

The group performs at a variety of outdoor locations in the summer months, highlighted by concerts at the Rotary Bandstand in Cape May, NJ.
